IT Innovators Incubation Programme

The Directorate of Information Technology & Support System (IT&SS), University of Kashmir, invites applications for incubation under the IT Innovators Incubation Programme, established as part of the Cloud IT Innovation Park under RUSA 2.0.

The programme aims to support technology-driven startups by providing incubation infrastructure, mentoring support, and seed funding to facilitate prototype development and early-stage scaling.



Focus Areas

The programme shall support startups operating in the following domains:

  • Software Development

  • Networking Technologies

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Cyber Security



Incubation Support & Facilities

The Directorate shall provide dedicated incubation infrastructure at the IT Innovation Park, Directorate of IT&SS, including:

  • Fully equipped workspace

  • High-speed internet connectivity

  • Access to data centre facilities

  • Meeting and conference rooms

  • Technical and mentoring support



Seed Funding Support

  • Each selected startup shall be provided seed funding support of Rs. 5,00,000/= (Rupees Five Lakh only).

  • The seed funding shall be disbursed from the recurring grants allocated under RUSA 2.0.

  • A total of 20 IT startups shall be incubated under the programme.



Eligibility Criteria for Startups

  • The applicant must not be employed in any government, private, or contractual position at the time of application.

  • The applicant must present a unique and innovation-driven idea relevant to Software Development, Networking, Artificial Intelligence, or Cyber Security.

  • The startup must be in the idea or prototype stage.

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

  • The applicant must be willing to incubate the startup within the IT Innovation Park, Directorate of IT&SS premises for the full duration of the programme.

  • The applicant or team must possess requisite technical competence relevant to the proposed idea.

  • Only one application per individual or team shall be considered.

  • The applicant must commit to full-time involvement in incubation activities and comply with mentoring, evaluation, and reporting mechanisms.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for pitch presentation.



Startup Selection and Monitoring Committee

Startup Selection and Monitoring Committee shall oversee evaluation, milestone-based fund disbursement, and mentoring.
